During the month of July my sweet nieces came for a visit. They live in Texas and their parents graciously shared them with all of us up here in the Northwest for a few weeks! It was such a treat to have them with us. We enjoyed a fairly low key week, hanging out at home, celebrating Phoenix's 2nd birthday, visiting the Farmer's Market and going to church. The weather was fantastic - in the high 80's low 90's all week and we had a great time reacquainting ourselves and just relaxing together.
Even though I grew up in a house full of girls it's been so long since I've had any girls around and it was nice to have a little balance in our house for the week! Also an eye opener to life with a near teenager and 7 year old girl....wow, girls are so different...and that's all I'll say about that. The cousins had a great time together, I think Cassie (the 12 year old) read about 50 books that week...okay, maybe 15. Either way, it was a lot. That girl can read. It was fun to see that side of her. A few clips of our time together:
